Dr Riley Hockey
OSTEOPATH
Riley was drawn to osteopathy from a young age when dealing with his own sporting injuries. Inspired by his local osteopath who helped him on the road to recovery, he started his osteopathic studies in Melbourne, transferring to Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast to complete his Master of Osteopathic Medicine.
Riley’s biopsychosocial approach combines the use of structured assessment, such as physical examinations and medical history, with identifying aspects of an individual’s life that may be influencing their dysfunction. He employs a variety of techniques including dry needling, cupping, and shock wave therapy to help promote the body’s own ability to heal.
Through his treatments, Riley aims to create a supportive and healing environment for his patients and empower them to actively participate in their own healing process.
